Me and Mine Programme

What is it?

We have specifically designed the Me and Mine seminars to increase confidence around the crucial transition period so that students reach their goals and full potential, and have a clear plan for their future. Seminars are also open to parents, guardians and teachers.
The seminars are delivered by Jigsaw Enterprise Training in partnership with other organisations that bring expertise and knowledge in specialist areas around transition. These organisations include the Pay and Employment Rights Service (PERS), Home Care Direct, and Together is Better Kirklees.

Seminars offered in the Me and Mine programme focus on each stage of transition and living independently and include:

  • What next for students – focusing on the transition from school to college, and options for living independently
  • Information sharing and peer support for parents – focusing on the different options and routes available for living independently, and what help you can get as parents
  • Person-centred support planning and personalisation
  • Seminars generally last an hour, but can be adapted to fit with your school’s timetable.

Each seminar costs £10 per person (excluding support staff). The cost includes learning materials.
To discuss your individual requirements, please contact us for further information.
